I am still getting quite a few of these birds in the feeders daily. I had a bit of time last week to get outside in the hide before I took it down for the garden season. Caught this fellow perched on one of the branches of the Hydrangea petiolaris (Climbing Hydrangea) with its emerging foliage. Unfortunately it's a bit tight to the right of frame and the background there doesn't lend itself to adding canvas which I did to the top of frame. I did like the contrast of the warm tones in the background and the spring foliage framing the bird so thought I'd share it.

Nice irredescent feathers and the eye really "pops", as you say a shame it is a bit tight on the right

You have handled the exposure incredibly well. Excellent details in the darker tones.

A bit big in the frame for my tastes.

Cheers

Minor nit re space to right. Still a nice well exposed image Deanne. I like the quizzical look the bird has.
Kind regards

Maggie
