As some of you are aware, a small number of our members recently visited Florida on a 10 day photographic expedition.

This is a bit of a grab shot, but is of the closest approach made by an Osprey during the trip. This chap was 15m away and I've had to do a bit of work to sharpen up the head as critical focus is on the far wing, but this is full frame with a little space added at the top to balance the shot. He was collecting wood from the beach for nesting material and made several close passes.

Very cool shot Claire, you've done a great job with the PS work here. Looks better than a grab shot to me. :thumbsup: (I was watching a pair of Red-tailed Hawks gather sticks and work on their nest yesterday.)

A gorgeous wingspread, and I really like the neutral background - as Deanne says more than a grab shot...

Have to Agree, may have been grabbed when you were there but the result is so much more
