I don't want to rub it in, but this is what it looks like in California, during the winter. As much as you in the UK live for blue skies, it is such a common phenomina in California it gets redundant, and, just like gray skies in the UK, a little boring. Any way, these buildings have been sitting here since the turn of the century, and I don't mean the 20th, but the 19th. Time has been working on them, they should have fallen long ago, but since it is so dry here there is little chance of wood rot.
This is a tone-map of 4 separate image shot in register. Work flow is: camera RAW; Lightroom 3.6 for gross adjustments; export to Photomatic for tone-mapping; exported to PS for fine adjustments. For this reason, I've not included any EXIF data; would have had to do it x4
