This is a portrait of a male emerald damselfly and was taken at Sole Common Pond nature reserve in Berkshire. Though the wings are out of focus they create a strong diagonal lines giving a structure to the image. I love the soft colours in this image, the damselfly's pose and the detail of his head and face.
